Making you own skincare can seem daunting if you don't have any formulation knowledge.  Maybe you want to learn, maybe you don't, either way pre-made bases are a good place to start your journey.

With a pre-made base, you have a stable, ready formulated product that needs only the addition of colour, fragrance and maybe small extra additions to make it unique to you.

The bases are very affordable and the range of fragrances and colours that can be used with them is vast.  You just need to stick to manufacturers guidelines when formulating, to ensure that the product remains stable and safe to use.

The best thing about these bases is that often, the suppliers of them will also offer pre-written safety reports for a number of fragrance and colour variations for a very good price.  This will usually be a fraction of what you would pay if you purchased like for like yourself.  

With these pre-written assessments (CPSRs), you will have a recipe to follow, and will be allowed to make a pre-determined number of scent variants within that report.  You can then be sure that your product is safe and legal to sell.  You just need to create a PIF (we have a template to help with that) and report your product to the cosmetics portal.
