This CPSR - Cosmetic Product Safety Report is for cold process soap.

Cold process soap involves working with Lye which is highly caustic.  It is therefore advised that this CPSR is used by those with some formulation experience.

This is a luxurious and high performing cold process soap. 

• It has a 5% superfat.
• It is inexpensive to make.
• It produces a creamy lather.
• It cleanses well.
• It produces bubbles and foam.

It allows for your own customisation of fragrance and colour and other additives.

You may adjust the batch size and water amount.

To make it you will be using the following ingredients
Shea Butter, Apricot Kernel Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Distilled Water. 

We also allow for up to 25% of the above oil and butter to be replaced by different oil and/or butter from a long list. 

You then have the option to add anything from the variant options up to a maximum percentage, these include:

• Citric Acid
• Sugar
• Salt 
• Honey
• Sodium Lactate
• Various clays and powders including kaolin, colloidal oats, honey powder, matcha powder, charcoal and more.
• Your choice of fragrance
• Various colours including Mica, colourants, neons, synthetic mica, and natural colourants such as Beetroot Powder, Turmeric, Spirulina, Cocoa, Madder Root and more.
• Water replacement (up to 50% of total water) including Coconut Milk, Goats Milk, Orange juice, Carrot Juice and Aloe Vera Juice.
• Exfoliants (Coffee Grounds and Poppy Seeds)
• Various decoration including bio-glitter, botanicals, coffee beans, dried fruit and melt and pour soap.

How it works

Flexible CPSRs provide a frame formulation.  This involves set percentages and some set ingredients to provide the stability and base of the formulation.  The flexibility comes from being able to swap some ingredients for other similar ingredients within certain parameters.  These will allow you to change the performance, texture, scent and colour of the product without compromising it's quality, stability and safety.

Cold process soap making involves a chemical reaction called saponification, where oils and lye combine to create soap. Because of this process, the final ingredients in the finished soap will differ slightly from the raw materials listed in your recipe.

During saponification, glycerin is naturally produced, which becomes part of the finished bar.

The exact composition of your final soap will vary depending on factors such as the mould size, lye-to-water ratio, and any optional ingredients you choose to include.

To make this process as simple and enjoyable as possible for makers, we provide not only the CPSR, but also a detailed information sheet and a complimentary Post-Saponification Calculator to help you understand and calculate your final formulation. More information on this is provided below.

Fragrances - This CPSR allows you to use 3% Fragrance. You may choose 5, 10 or 15 fragrances from any supplier to be included in your CPSR, if you want to add on an additional fragrance now or later, that’s fine you can order an ‘additional fragrance’ HERE

Revega CPSRs are flexible with ingredients, so whilst you MUST always get your fragrance oils from the same supplier (this is because composition will vary across suppliers), you can purchase all other ingredients from any reputable supplier.

• A complimentary Post Saponification Calculator - This will calculate all your ingredients final percentages and the weight in grams for your batch based on your batch size and variant choices including the citric acid/extra lye calculations if you decide to include that. This CPSR - Cosmetic Product Safety Report is for a deodorant stick. 

This deodorant formula makes a lovely solid stick that glides on effortlessly and drys down nicely.

Remember that deodorant is different from antiperspirant.  This is NOT an antiperspirant.  It does however, contain an effective combination of odour, moisture absorbing and antibacterial ingredients.

The variant tables will include information on their functions so that you can create a formula that performs as you wish, however please remember that claims require proof, so if you want to claim that your product does any of the things the function suggests, you will need official claims testing.

This product can be marketed as a cosmetic only.

Coconut OR Babassu oil (or combination of both), Candellila Wax, Magnesium Hydroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Butter/s of choice (Mango, Shea, Kokum, Cocoa or Cupuacu), Zinc Ricinoleate, Colourant of choice (from a list of deodorant suitable colourants), Triethyl Citrate, Essential Oil/s of choice, Vitamin e and a Powder/s of choice (Charcoal powder, Kaolin, Pink Clay, Green Clay, Bentonite, Bicarbonate of Soda, Arrowroot Powder).

This CPSR - Cosmetic Product Safety Report is for an Whipped Scrub using Stephensons OPC base. 

A pre-made base that you whip into fluffy soap and allows for your own customisation of oils, butter, fragrance, colour and even create scrubs by adding exfoliants. It lathers and rinses away cleanly, leaving no oily residue.

To make it you will be using the following ingredients

Stephensons Crystal OPC base, Your choice of oil or butter (from a long list), your choice of colour (from a long list including bio glitter), your choice of fragrance, your choice of optional powder (including things like charcoal, kaolin, arrowroot, cornstarch, honey powder etc), optional exfoliants (including salts, sugar, walnut shell powder, coffee grounds pumice and Bamboo stem powder).

We also give the option for some decoration and non-cosmetic extras such as toys, crystals, paper items and jewellery.

Compiling a PIF for your cosmetic products can be a daunting process, and we understand the stress it can cause when you first start out on your small cosmetics business journey.

Because of this, we have created a PIF Template.  Compiled as a word document for you to fill in with your product information.  You can save it to your computer and print it out to keep in a file at your premises.

We've included a page for each part of the PIF that you need and prompts and explanations of what is required for each to take the stress out of it for you.

You'll be able to enter your product information easily and quickly, giving you a finished PIF in minutes rather than hours!  Then, next time you've already got a finished copy and just need to edit it for your new product.
