General

We are born of a qualified and experienced hairdresser and hair extension technician/educator who has also been making her own cosmetic products for a number of years.  Meaning that the products we supply are created solely with the end user in mind.  They are nothing less than we use ourselves or on our clients.

Rest assured that all technical queries will be answered honestly and with professional knowledge.

Our minimal packaging leaves as little rubbish as possible and is reusable, recyclable or bio-degradable where possible.

We are open and honest with our customers and will be completely transparent about our product range, quality and we are more than happy to answer your questions.

We have a fantastic relationship with our suppliers, making regular visits to them, working together to constantly improve our ranges and keep a consistent high quality of products that we use and sell.

Revega is a small business focused on helping small hair and cosmetic businesses start up and grow.

Offering a wealth of free and paid information, guides and templates online alongside our YouTube Channel, Courses and Memberships including one to one mentoring.

As well as the above, Revega supplies wholesale products to the hair and cosmetic industry along with our own range of cosmetic products.

Being as environmentally friendly as possible is important to us.  Whilst we cannot make all of our packaging biodegradable, we have made the effort to greatly reduce it, making it recyclable where possible and in a lot of cases reusable for minimal waste. Our manufacturers facilities, also have solutions in place to treat and prevent chemical waste, and be mindful of their environmental impact.

COSMETICS FAQ

Every country has its specific regulations relating
to the sale of cosmetic products. We are working to comply with as many
countries as possible and will add them to this list as we begin shipping to
them.

Unfortunately due to the new regulations since
leaving the EU requiring all cosmetic companies to have a dedicated base of
operation/responsible person in an EU member state, we are currently unable to
ship to EU countries, sadly this includes Northern Ireland. We are working on
being able to shortly.

We currently ship cosmetic products and ingredients within the UK only.

Some other businesses may have been operating
longer than us and therefore have been able to go through the legal processes
to comply with overseas regulations, this takes time and investment and is
something we are working on right now.

Also, sadly there may be some businesses who are
unaware of these regulations or are actively ignoring them. Not complying with
cosmetic regulations can land companies with hefty fines and prison sentences.
While other companies may be OK with this, we are not. They are there to
protect the customer, to ensure the products being sold are manufactured to
high standards, hygienic, fit for purpose, and do not contain any substances
that they shouldn't.

A Cosmetic Safety Report (CPSR) or Assessment as
often referred to as, is a report by a professional cosmetic lab deeming your
product safe for use and sale.  To sell cosmetics legally in the UK, you
must have a CPSR in place for each product that you sell.

You can find more information on this in our Cosmetic Safety Report and resources sections.

We no longer provide flexi assessments.

Flexi Assessment is an affectionate term given by
the industry to CPSRs that offer you a cost effective way to create a number of
products for sale.  A Flexi Assessment is an off the shelf CPSR which
usually includes the use of a base product and a pre-determined number of
fragrance and colour variations you can use in the base to create (usually) up
to around 10 product variations.  The CPSR will be in your name, you are
the responsible person.  Ingredients need to be purchased separately.

When purchasing an flexi assessment, you understand that ingredients could discontinue or suppliers cease selling certain products upon the CPSRS is based at any time, and you accept this risk when purchasing. Flexi CPSRs are sold a much reduced cost and therefore it is your decision to take the saving verses future availability of products. We work our CPSRs to have as much flexibility as possible to allow for these possibilities and keep you trading without interruption.

There are a few places that offer these Flexi Assessments and we have a lot of
respect for each of them, therefore you will find that we have tried to offer
different fragrance options to what is currently available, and therefore
happily recommend these other businesses to you if you are looking for further
Flexi Assessments and scents :)  We're all in this together and we support
all small businesses.

This is where we can really help you.  We've
been in the hair and beauty industry for over 20 years.  We have a wealth
of knowledge and experience in the field and constantly update our knowledge
and chat to industry experts.  We've created our 'Resources' section of
the website to offer you all the information you need via way of ebooks and
downloadable templates. Plus if you buy a CPSR from us, then you will get all
the information you need for creating and legally selling that product included
with your purchase.

Yes, we only use sugar from companies who do not use bone char in the refining process.

Some yes. These will be clearly labeled. You can
search for either by typing into the search bar, and all those related products
should appear for you.

Note that natural and organic are not the same
thing and products can be either of these things, none of these things, or
both.

Natural refers to a product's ingredients being
derived from plant, mineral, or animal by-product (though we are vegan were
possible, and aim to be completely vegan over the coming year).

Organic refers to how the ingredient was farmed -
without pesticides, chemical fertilizers, sulfates, parabens, or GMOs.

We will always opt for Organic ingredients in our
products where they are available.

Yes, we pride ourselves in following the Good Manufacturing
process in accordance with ISO22716/2007. Our products are manufactured in a

and compatibility testing, microbiological testing where required and cosmetic
safety reports have been done.

We will only source our ingredients from reputable,
reliable suppliers who also go through these safety steps.

Check ingredients if you have allergies.  All
allergens present in any products will be listed with a star before them ( * ).

We are PETA-certified Cruelty-free.

Yes, the majority of products are made by myself in-house. I have a minimal amount of products manufacturered elsewhere to my formula requirements due to the volume of orders that I receive for them and the amount of space required for that level of production. I am only one person!
All of my products are designed by me whether manufactured in house or with our manufacturing partners. All products are made either by me or by reputable, cruelty-free manufacturing partners with the highest of standards whos ethics mirror my own no matter where in the world they work.

Any products made in PRC are manufacturered by partners who have Strict no animal testing rules (in fact our manufacturer has a vegan policy) and will not sell products in PRC. I am very strict about this.

You can subscribe to our brand new YouTube Channel
to see when we post product and formulation videos.

Again, please see the 'OUR ETHICS' page. As with
any business, we cannot give out supplier/manufacturer information, but we hope
the information on this page helps to answer any concerns you may have.

All of our pigments are sourced ethically from
sustainable, reliable, and trustworthy sources.

All ingredients supplied are approved for sale and
certified where required by law.

All products have been tested in accordance with
strict UK/EU regulations and we comply with GMP (Good manufacturing practice
ISO 22716) so that your products would not have come in contact with any
specific allergens unless listed on the bottle/container.

Ingredients (INCI - International
Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient)

for each product are listed on the website, so
please check these before placing your order, and if unsure, consult your GP.

Nut allergy sufferers should check the oils, as
whilst many are not derived from nuts, some may contain traces.  Please
check the ingredients before purchasing.

There are some essential oils that are not suitable
for use during pregnancy, we cannot advise on this, but we would suggest that
you consult your doctor/midwife and check the ingredients before
purchasing.  If you have any questions, or anything isn't clear, please
email us.

Sadly no, we cannot offer this for hygiene reasons.

Then we suggest you join our Facebook Group where
you can ask questions to us and other makers, or join my Patron Membership group where I can answer direct questions and offer mentoring services.

FD&C and D&C Lake Pigments /Colours are regulated by the FDA.

Each batch that is intended for use in cosmetics in the USA will require batch certification. This involves the supplier sending a sample of each and every batch off for assessment so that it can be certified as safe for use.

This is only a requirement in the USA.

If you are using FD&C, D&C Lake Pigments in the UK and EU you do not need batch certification.

So are they safe if they aren't certified? If you purchase from us then you can be confident that the pigments are safe. Our supplier certifies each batch prior to us receiving it. The only reason we cannot sell it as batch certified is because we open the batch to separate it into the different weights that you buy. Therefore once a batch certified batch is opened, it loses its certification and requires samples to be resent off for testing again.

Currently we are a small business and this is a lengthy and costly process, so we have taken the decision to sell the UK versions which are legal to sell in finished cosmetics in the UK and EU, but also give you a 1kg option whereby you can select 'Batch Certified' if you require that for selling your end products in the USA.

Batch certification does not apply to natural mica, but if selling in the USA it is always prudent to check the FDA website for information on banned colours and ingredients first.

Whilst it's good to be aware of and cautious of fragrance oil ingredients, please rest assured that our fragrance oil manufacturers take the safety of our customers and the ingredients that they use very seriously. They do not use any completely banned ingredients, and where ingredients are banned only in certain formulations, this will be clearly stated in the IFRA, and they will also only be present in extremely small amounts which are completely safe for use in the allowed products. If you have any concerns then please contact us for further information.

Mentoring

Mentoring is done via my Patreon portal under a specific tier.

You pay monthly at a rate of £10 which gives you access to all my exclusive Patron content and I am able to discuss your business with you via messaging there.

This was the prefered format of my current mentees.

That's fine. Just sign up for the Patreon mentoring tier and cancel when you no longer feel you need the help.

No, but I am a qualified teacher.

I come at this from a place of experience, having run my own businesses for over 20 years. Learning from my failures, successes and drawing on those for my clients.

I help you to avoid the mistakes I made and grow from the tips and tricks that helped me succeed.

Anyone can train to become a coach, but there is no substitute for living it and drawing on that experience.

Yes! In a way, this is perfect. We can get you set up and growing from day one.

Courses

Hair: I'm a qualified state registered hairdresser and hair extension stylist of 20+ years, Master Craftman and AET Level 3 qualified teacher.

I am self taught in cosmetic formulation after having made my own products for many years.

The knowledge that I have gained through experimentation, vast amounts of research and talking with experts in the industry paired with my teaching qualification, puts me in a unique position to offer the courses that I do to help others, who like myself, are self-teaching.

No. Course purchase gives you lifetime access, which includes access to updates and additions if and when they happen.

Yes, you can email me at any time with any questions and I will help.

Yes, with the Hair extensions course you will received a CPD Habia approved certificate (please allow some time for this to be sent to you after completion).

For the cosmetics course you will received a participation certificate.

No. Since I am not part of a school or college I cannot offer you a 'qualification', however any course taken that is recognised by an insurance company or regulatory body such as Habia, counts towards CPD points and will be a great addition to you CV. Do it for the knowledge, not the piece of paper.

Unfortunately no. Due to the nature of digital products and courses, I cannot refund for them since the content would have already been downloaded and viewed.

If you have concerns or expectations of the courses I offer, then please contact me prior to purchase to discuss so we can ensure the course is right for you.
